Who exactly is Sharon Keys Seal? So glad you asked….well, here is a picture to start.I am an executive coach with a national practice based in Baltimore, Maryland. One of my fundamental beliefs about people is that within each of us is more than we imagine, and my mission is to recognize, encourage, and strengthen my clients’ gifts and greatness. I am skilled at helping clients see themselves and their work in powerful new ways, while illuminating potential areas for enhanced performance and guiding professional development. I founded Coaching Concepts, Inc. twelve years ago to serve as a catalyst for positive, proactive change in action-oriented individuals who want to do and be their best. My clients, with whom I form long-term collaborative partnerships, are open to fresh perspectives and ideas, and desire to take their career to the next level while integrating their values and vision. I am blessed with an innate ability to establish trust and rapport, which is the foundation for my work in executive coaching, organizational assessment, team building, and leadership development.
A combination of excellent interpersonal skills and insightful understanding of workplace challenges (and, believe it or not, humility) enables me to work with professionals in a wide variety of industries. My client base includes corporate executives, small business owners, scientists, managers, consultants, and executive directors of non-profits. My background encompasses management positions in both the corporate and non-profit arenas. I was Director of Operations for Grace Fellowship Church, where I was responsible for budget decisions, managed a 52,000 square-foot facility, and directed the personnel functions for a staff of 24 people. I acquired additional small business experience during my tenure as Business Manager for an advertising and public relations agency and on the marketing team of a management consulting firm. I was also a successful real estate agent who, in my first full year in the industry, was top salesperson in my office of over sixty agents.
As founder and host for three years of the Maryland Chapter of the International Coach Federation, I work to promote the professional community of coaches in Maryland. I have served as a contributing expert columnist for Entrepreneur Magazine's on-line publication Entrepreneur.com, and wrote a monthly business column for the Baltimore publication The Urbanite Magazine for over five years. I currently serve as President of Resource Link; am a member and former Club President of Toastmasters; am a member of The B’MORE Fund; and serve on the Johns Hopkins Breast Cancer Survivor Volunteer Team. I am a Professional Certified Coach, having met the strict credentials and standards of the International Coach Federation. I have two fabulous sons (ages 26 and 24) and a beau who will eat just about anything that I cook, but does not share my passion for okra or grits. I live on the water, and am learning to kayak. Cooking and writing give me great pleasure, when I'm not coaching or boating. I'm a novice gardener (and accomplished weed puller), and am fascinated by the myriad birds that inhabit the tidelands surrounding the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. This summer, we had a family of osprey nesting right off our pier. Three chicks! |
